This U.S. Mint special release 'Making History Coin and Currency Set' is a two-piece collection containing a 2012 San Francisco Mint Proof Silver Eagle, commemorating the 220th anniversary of the U.S. An extremely limited mintage of just 60,205 this collection is very hard to find...mainly due to the fact that this was one of only two-ways for collectors to get their hands on the extremely rare 2012 S-Mint Proof Silver Eagle, the rarest San Francisco Mint Proof Silver Eagle ever minted! Coin Highlights: This two piece set contains one 2012 San Francisco Proof Silver Eagle ONLY! Released to commemorate the 220th Anniversary of the U.S. Mint. The Silver Eagle Design was originally that of the iconic Walking Liberty Half Dollars, The Silver Eagle contains 1oz of .999 fine silver, The 2012 San Francisco Proof Silver Eagle was only available in this Coin and Currency Set and a special two piece Silver Eagle set released the same year. It is the rarest of its kind with a total mintage of just 281,792!. The coin was designed by Adolph A. Weinman (obverse) and John Mercanti (reverse)
