CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE HAND PAINTED CERAMIC VASE
An antique Chinese Famille Verte style hand painted ceramic vase. The exterior of the vase is adorned with Medallion scenes depicting garden and landscape scenes, and a floral motif. The neck and the base are adorned with a geometrical pattern. Marked with blue ink, B P, on the bottom. Circa: early 20th century. Green family, Famille Verte, uses a range of transparent green enamels that dominate the other enamels, most often red, yellow, aubergine, underglaze cobalt blue, until the end of the 17th century, and enamel blue, from the beginning of the 18th century.
