AFTER HENRY ALKEN TWO FOX HUNTING LITHOGRAPHS
After Henry Alken, two antique color printed and finished by hand lithographs on wove paper titled Fox Hunting: Going to Cover and Breaking Cover, engraved by Thomas Sutherland and published by W. Deelcy in 1839. Both signed and entitled, matted and framed. Henry Thomas Alken, 1785 to 1851, was an English painter and engraver chiefly known as a caricaturist and illustrator of sporting subjects and coaching scenes.
