Rabbi Shlomo HaCohen Aharonson (1863-1935) was the first Ashkenazi chief rabbi of the city of Tel Aviv. He served from 1923 until the year 5635 (1935).
Rabbi Ben-Zion Meir Chai Uziel (1880-1953) was the first Sephardic Chief Rabbi of the State of Israel. One of the prominent rabbis of the first half of the twentieth century.
