Rabbi Ben Tzion Zvik was born in the town of Novardok in 1886. He was a descendant of a well-known rabbinical family and learned Torah from the Volozhin Yeshiva, a member of "Kollel Brodsky." He served as rabbi in the Orchi, Osipovich and Woznysk communities.
He immigrated to Israel in 1933 and accepted to serve as rabbi of Kfar Ganim, despite the temptations of large communities in the United States that tried to attract him.
Rabbi Amram Aborbae (1892-1966) was a Dayan and Chief Rabbi of the Sephardi community in Petah Tikva.
