Roman Silver Ring with Seated Goddess Gemstone
2nd century AD
A silver D-section ring with expanding shoulders, inset round carnelian intaglio engraved with a seated goddess, wearing a chiton, wreath to the head, cornucopia behind. 7.48 grams, 23.14mm overall, 17.48x15.04mm internal diameter (approximate size British J 1/2, USA 5, Europe 9.32, Japan 9) (1"). Fine condition.
