Facsimile edition of the Guttenberg Bible based on copies in the State Library in Berlin ("Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin") and in the Fulda library ("Hochschul und Landesbibliothek Fulda"). Leipzig, 1913-1914. Latin. Two volumes.
Printed in color on thick paper of good quality, with lavish leather bindings (designed after the binding of the copy in the Fulda library). This edition was printed under the supervision of the librarian and historian Paul Schwenke.
Numbered copy, 181/300.
42 cm. Good condition. Slight defects at margins. Some stains (mainly to endpapers and margins of first leaves of first volume). Creases to endpapers. Bindings and spines are slightly rubbed and defected. Lacking slipcase of one volume.
