Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy (1859-1918) - a major painter of the Russian landscape school at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries,
a prominent public figure, member and subsequently one of the leaders of the Association of Wanderers («Association of Traveling
Art Exhibitions» - hereinafter TPHV) - the most significant of the Russian art associations The nineteenth century, which played an
outstanding role in the development of Russian fine art.
Academician of painting (1898), full member of the Imperial St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (IAH) (1900), member of the Council of the
Academy of Arts (1908), teacher (1909) and professor-director of the landscape workshop of the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture
and Architecture (VHU) at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1911).
