RABBI YISRAEL NASSAN PLOTZKI, RABBI OF OSTROW MAZOWIECKA (SON OF THE KLEI CHEMDA), THREE INTERESTING LETTERS.
All three letters are addressed to R. Yaakov Gordon in England.
The first letter is written on
Chol Hamoed, on behalf of his father, and contains replies to
halachic and other questions.
The second letter is written on his father’s official stationery.
The third letter has particularly interesting content, and uses exceptionally strong language to attack various people who have been disrespectful towards the writer’s father.
Rabbi Yisrael Nassan Plotzki (1888-1942), son of Rabbi Meir Don Plotzki, author of
Klei Chemda. Succeeded his father as Rabbi of Ostrow Mazowiecka. A chasid of the Rebbe of Gur and outstandingly diligent rabbinic scholar and author. Some of his writings are included in his father’s works, as well as in his own
Imrei Yisrael.
