A fine copy of this rare early edition of Arba’a Turim – the first major halachic compendium.
This Augsburg edition corrected many errors found in earlier prints using a copy of the Arba’a Turim used by Rabbi Avraham of Prague, as stated by the publisher on the title page. This edition is very rare and has hardly been sold in public auctions.
Four parts in one volume. Title page is without illustrations. The text of the Arba’a Turim begins on p. 7 within an illustrated border including drawings of the creation, and of Kings David and Shlomo. At the back of the sefer, there is a letter from R. Yosef b. Yakar to his borther-in-law R. Yaakov b. Baruch regarding the way he copied the notes and homilies of Rabbi Avraham of Prague.
