Vintage Goddess Rain Lamp with Classical Female Figure, Gilt Floral Mounts & Hanging Strands - An unusual vintage decorative electric table lamp of classical revival design, featuring a central white composition figure of a draped female standing in a contrapposto pose, surrounded by numerous fine vertical strands suspended from an ornate circular canopy. The cream and gilt-coloured upper section is embellished with raised scrolling foliate decoration, supported by gilt-finished columns above a circular base containing artificial foliage. An internal electric light illuminates the central figure from above, creating an attractive decorative effect. Fitted with an electrical lead and inline switch. Showing general age-related wear, discolouration and surface marks, particularly to the artificial foliage, suspension strands and electrical cable. The lamp is pictured illuminated; no formal electrical safety testing has been undertaken. Any original oil-circulation mechanism has not been confirmed as present or operational.
