Escultura de la diosa taoísta Xiwangmu, dinastía Ming (1368-1644)

Figura de Xiwangmu realizada en bronce, con una mandorla asociada en la espalda y una peana de madera tallada. La mandorla es de bronce dorado con forma de aureola llameante y elementos budistas. 

La reina está sentada en un trono con gesto sereno y sujetando, con ambas manos, una tableta de hueso. Está vestida con túnicas y un sombrero de fénix.

Procedencia: Christie's de colección privada europea.
