Many of them are voluptuous female nudes who seem to be revelling in their own flesh, just as Berger does in the thickly encrusted paint with which he creates them. In many of the large canvases, energy lines zoom out from the center, suggesting perspective, but this is contradicted by the way the figures hug the picture plane.
