Large and Monumental Italian Renaissance Mortar from the end of the 15th century - 16th century, in bronze, dated 1607
With Inscription "Opus Ptri Springolo" translated from Latin: Work of Pietro Springolo. Custom made solid oak base is attached, height measurements with base: 101 cm, mortar measurements: 41 x 35 cm. Provenance: property of an important European collector. Previously in a Belgian private collection.
