Sumy Higher Artillery Command twice Red Banner School named after M. V. Frunze (SVAKDKU. Variants: SVAKU, Sumy VAKU) — Russian, Soviet and then Ukrainian military school in 1899-2007.
It has its roots in 1918, when the 3rd infantry Moscow courses were created on the basis of the Sumy Cadet Corps by order of the Commissar of the Main Directorate of Military Educational Institutions (GUVUZ) No. 367 of December 14, 1918. They marked the beginning of the existence of the Sumy Artillery School (later the artillery school, the higher Artillery command School, the Institute of the RViA). The first head of the courses was Pankratov D. N., the first commissar — Nefedov N. M. They were appointed before the publication of order No. 367 and began to form on December 1, 1918.
