ORIGINAL PAOLO VERONESE (1528-1588) NATIONAL GALLERY OF ART EXHIBITION POSTER, 28.5IN x 38.5IN (72cm x 98cm)
Paolo Veronese (1528-1588) color lithograph for an exhibition at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC in 1988. The underlying piece used for the poster is titled Judith with the Head of Holophernes, after the original which was painted in 1575 and is now on display in the Kunhistorisches Museum in Vienna. This original exhibition poster was produced on heavy stock 300 gsm, museum paper. With frame, it measures 28.5 inches x 38.5 inches. It is matted and framed under acrylic in a golden frame. It was produced in 1988, under the auspices of the Board of Trustees of the National Gallery of Art. This piece was acquired from the estate of an ex-employee of the National Gallery in Washington, DC., 28.5IN x 38.5IN (72cm x 98cm), LOT REF #24-1199
