Discovery! Two Pages handwritten by the holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Liska, Derashos for Rosh Hashana, some of which have not been printed.
"Therefore Hashem Yisborach gave this Mitzva of giving a Ma'asser which is against nature that he who gives will have more and this is Asser bishvil ShTitasher (given a tenth of what you have to become rich) ... and this to teach to fear G-d every day, since from this you can know that retribution exists'; from a sermon for the second day of Rosh Hashana handwritten by the holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Liska, most of which does not appear in his printed Seforim.
[2] pp. 25 cm. [74] lines handwritten by him. Of them, [19] have not been printed and the rest has been printed with variations.
On this leaf, the holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Liska wrote two sermons for the two days of Rosh Hashana. The sermon for the first day of Rosh Hashana appearing here was printed in "Drush Hashem LeRosh Hashana" (Hayashar Vehatov, 1, leaf 6). However, the sermon for the second day of Rosh Hashana appearing here has not been printed, except for the [3] lines at its beginning, which were printed (Hayashar Vehatov, 1, leaf 2).
The holy Rav rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Liska [1808-1874] author of 'Ach Pri Tevuah' and 'Hayashar Vehatov'. One of the greatest Tzaddikim of Hungary, a leading disciple of holy Rav the 'Yismach Moshe' of Ujhely (Sátoraljaújhely), and a disciple of the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin, the holy Rav Rabbi Meir of Premishlan, the holy Rav the Sar-Shalom of Belz, and the holy Rav the Divrei Chaim of Sanz.
Thousands of Chassidim from all over Hungary came to him for blessings and advice. In his days the Chassidus of Liska was most important and renowned in Hungary.
His holy Gabai and Meshamesh Bakodesh, who grew up on his knees from the age of 12 years until 28 years, was Rabbi Yeshaye'le Kerestir, who used to sign:
הק' ישעי' בן מו"ה משה ז"ל שהי' משמש בקודש אצל הרב הצדיק מליסקא זי"ע, attributing his greatness and many virtues to his holy Rav.
Minor aging stains and some ink stains. Very good condition.
