Rabbeinu Meir Simcha Hacohen (1843-1926) one of the leading rabbis of Europe before the Holocaust. For many years served as the Rav of the Misnagdim of Dvinsk (alongside the Rogatchov Gaon Rabbi Yosef Ruzin who served as the Rav of the Chassidim). Authored his famed Seforim Or Same'ach and Meshech Chochma on the Torah. In recent years, his responsa was published.
Wear to bindings, the back binding of one of the volumes is detached and its back is blemished, moth holes, aging stains, some folds, short tears and gluing, fair-good condition.
