Original Invitation to the Bar Miztvah of the Gaon Rabbi Nosson Zvi Finkel the Rosh Yeshuva of Mir. Chicago, 1956
Printed letter of invitation by the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Meir and the Rebbetzin to the Bar Mitzvah of their son Nosson Zvi, the future Rosh Yeshiva of Mir. Chicago, 1956.
Original invitation, to the 'Bar Mitzvah festival' of the dear son of Rabbi Eliyahu Meir Finkel the son of Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Finkel and his wife the Rebbetzin Mrs. Sarah. The Bar Mitzvah boy studied at the yeshiva of his grandfather's brother the great Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, the Mir Yeshiva, became its Rosh Yeshiva after becoming the son-in-law of the Gaon Rabbi Beinush Finkel and devotedly turned it into a great empire of Torah.
Notations by the children of the Finkel family appear on the invitation.
As a side note, an invitation to a family event in the USA, all the more so in Chicago, in those years, without reference to the Georgian date, is extremely rare and indicates the nature and customs of the glorious family.
[1] printed invitation, folded, on card. Many notations. Stains. Tears. Good condition.
