Sefer Noam Elimelech, one of the basic Chassidic books by the holy Rav Rabbi Elimelch of Lizhensk. An edition that was published in the midst of World War II. New York, [1942].

Sefer Noam Elimelech, one of the basic Chassidic books, authored by the holy Rav Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk who was one of the greatest disciples of the holy Rav the Maggid of Mezeritch and the Rav of leading Admorim of the following generation (the holy Rav of Opatow, the holy Rav of Rimnov, the Chozeh of Lublin and many more). An edition of the holy author's grandson, Rabbi Yehoshua Vagshal. The Scholsinger Brothers Press, New York, [1942].

[14], 231 pp. The title of the book and the printer's mark in red lettering. A printing "in an elegant format, with square, clearly visible letters". With a photocopy of the title page of the first edition and a partial list of the previous editions. The book was published in the midst of World War II, when the murderous German army was capturing one European country after the other, persecuting and murdering the Jewish people on the way.

This edition was published with approbations from the first edition, with an approbation by Rabbi Yechezkel Sheraga Halberstam (Krakow, 1896) and with approbations by the Admor the Rayatz of Lubavitch, the Chief Rabbi of Eretz Yisroel Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Herzog and the Union of Rabbis of the USA and Canada, from 1941.

On the title book of the page it is written that the author's merit shall protect, save and bless all those who buy the book, as well as "bring us closer to our redemption" - indicating the horrors that were taking place when the book was published.

In their approbations, Rabbi Herzog and the secretary of the Union of Rabbis also refer to the author's merit that will protect all those who buy the book.
