Egyptian Haematite Scarab with Taweret
New Kingdom, 1550-1070 BC
A carved haematite scarab with striated wing-case, engraved with the standing figure of Taweret, goddess of childbirth, on the base. 0.53 grams, 9mm (1/4"). Very fine condition.
