24th-22nd century BC
A shell cylinder seal engraved with a standing king attacking a rearing lion; to the back a bull-legged man with headdress; astrological symbols to the background. 19 grams, 32mm (1 1/4"). Fine condition.

Property of a European gentleman living in London; previously from an American collection formed in the 1950s.
