A rare Rugops primus theropod dinosaur tooth from the Kem-Kem Basin, Morocco. 8.05 grams, 47mm (1 3/4"). Fine condition, repaired.

From a Lincoln paleontological collection.

This is a genus of theropod dinosaur only discovered in 2000 by Paul Sereno, a professor of palaeontology at the University of Chicago, which inhabited modern Africa approximately 95 million years ago (Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous).
