Elegant Stone Age 'Salisbury' Slender Grey Knapped Flint Adze
Neolithic Period, circa 4th-3rd millennium B.C. Biconvex in section, long and slender with narrow butt. Cf. MacGregor, A. (ed.), Antiquities from Europe and the Near East in the Collection of Lord MacAlpine of West Green, Oxford, 1987, item 4.1, for type. 147 grams, 14.4 cm (5 3/4 in.).
