Original Photographs of Abu Simbel and Pyramids
1905 A.D.. Montage in a glazed wooden frame comprising four monochrome views of Abu Simbel with caption 'Album Photographs / Silver Gelatin Prints / Egypt Nubia Tour 1905'; plus one other framed photograph by G.M. Georgoulas of a group in front of the Old Kingdom pyramids at Giza dated 29 December 1932. 1.42 kg total, 32 x 27.5 - 37 x 31.5 cm (12 5/8 x 10 3/4 - 14 1/2 x 12 3/8 in.).

The four photographs of Abu Simbel show the original location of the magnificent rock-cut temple complex of Ramesses II before it was dismantled in 1964 and re-assembled on higher ground to rescue it from the rising waters of Lake Nassar. [2, No Reserve]
