Lot 2 Herzl items - 1) A pen in a special issue of the Israeli sailing company 'ZIM' and it mentions the immigration ship Theodore Herzl on a view of the Haifa port. 2) An old photo of a couple next to Herzl's grave in Jerusalem.
תיאודור הרצל הייתה אוניית מעפילים שארגן המוסד לעלייה ב'. נקראה על שמו של המנהיג הציוני בנימין זאב הרצל. ב-13 באפריל 1947 נעצרה האונייה על ידי משחתות בריטיות בסמוך לחוף תל אביב ומעפיליה גורשו למחנות המעצר בקפריסין. החולים והפצועים שבהם נשלחו למחנה המעצר בעתלית.
