Rare! Maskil L'eytan, First Edition, Vilna 5578 [1818]

Sefer Maskil L'eytan by Rav Avraham ben Rav Yehuda Leib, chiddushei halachos and novellae on seder Moed and Kodshim.

The author, Rav Avraham ben Rav Yehuda Leib (5548-5608) served as Rav of a number of locations in the Minsk region. The greatness of the author is unique- he was the disciple of Rav Chaim of Volozhin, who respected him greatly and stated that one can almost say that he is a second to the Gra (Vilna Gaon) in his wondrous bekius. Additionally, he was referred to in his generation as "the baki of the generation". Besides for this sefer, he authored many additional sefarim.

This sefer- Maskil L'eytan- was the first sefer he ever wrote, and after a time it became his family name and the family name of his descendants.
