An interesting answer regarding the manner in which the names are written in Gittin should be written in letters that express the pronunciation in which the name is pronounced orally, and not according to the correct rules of writing when the sound is changed.
Rabbi Yitzchak Kosovski-Shachor - [1877-1951] was a member of the Yeshiva of Telz, the son-in-law of Rabbi David Shlomo Grodzinski, Av Beit Din of Iwia, Lithuania (father of Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzansky of Vilna). In 1924 he moved to South Africa, where he was appointed rabbi of the Association of Jewish Communities in Johannesburg and the surrounding area.
