A Collection of Cast Iron Fireplace Companion Tools on Stand - A collection of fireplace companion tools and a central stand, characteristic of traditional British domestic style from the late 19th to mid-20th century. The set comprises a shovel, a pair of tongs, a hearth brush, and a poker, all suspended from a two-tiered hanging bracket. The components are manufactured from cast and wrought iron with a blackened finish. Each tool is fitted with a decorative handle featuring a ribbed, turned-effect design and is topped with a spherical ball finial. The stand consists of a vertical shaft fixed to a heavy, solid circular base. No maker's marks are present. There are two adhesive paper labels: one to the base marked 16 16 and another to a tool bracket marked 2.50.
