The surface is finished in a greyish-white tone with a textured appearance, displaying prominent concentric throwing lines radiating from the centre. The decoration consists of a hand-applied abstract geometric pattern in dark brown slip or oxide, comprising interconnected jagged, linear motifs arranged in concentric bands. At the centre of the well is a small incised spiral. No maker's marks are visible on the upper surface. An auction house lot sticker is present on the lower edge.
