IPC Magazines. Birds of the World. IPC, c. 1969-1971. A Multi-Volume Set. - A multi-volume set of the ornithological part-work publication Birds of the World, published by IPC (International Publishing Corporation) circa 1969-1971. These large-format volumes comprise weekly magazine issues housed in the publisher's original navy blue faux-leather or vinyl binders. Each binder features a gold-stamped illustration of a bird of prey in flight on the front cover. The spines are decorated with gold-stamped titles, volume numbers, and the stylized IPC logo. The collection was originally issued in parts to form a comprehensive encyclopaedia of avian species across the globe. Included in this lot are Volume II and Volume III, along with a third binder in the stack.
