A collection of Torquay Pottery Motto Ware Souvenir Jugs - A collection of earthenware souvenir jugs produced in the style of South West England potteries such as Torquay, Watcombe, or Aller Vale. The collection includes a cream-coloured jug featuring a hand-painted cottage and tree scene, detailed with a green scalloped rim and a band of blue dots around the base. It is inscribed with the word HINCLESIDE. The remaining two jugs are finished with a blue glaze over a white base. One is slip-trailed with the inscription Lands End and the other with the phrase the Water. These items are characteristic examples of early-to-mid 20th-century British holiday souvenirs.
