Chisholm, Hugh (Editor). Encyclopaedia Britannica, Eleventh Edition. University of Cambridge, 1910-1911. - A collection of volumes of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, Eleventh Edition. The volumes are bound in publisher's dark navy cloth with decorative gilt-stamped borders and corner devices. Each front board features a double gilt-ruled border with four corner emblems, including a cross patty and a heraldic shield containing the Greek letters Alpha and Omega. The title is stamped in gilt along the vertical edge of the board reading ENCYCLOPAEDIA BRITANNICA, ELEVENTH EDITION. The books are in a quarto format with age-toned text blocks.
