A set of six Queen Anne style mahogany and walnut veneered dining chairs with needlepoint seats - A set of six dining chairs in the Queen Anne style, featuring mahogany frames with figured walnut veneers. Each chair is designed with a shaped top rail over a vase-form back splat showing burr wood grain. The drop-in seats are finished with hand-worked wool needlepoint upholstery, each depicting a unique floral motif against a pale green ground. The chairs are raised on cabriole front legs with shell carving at the knees and ball-and-claw feet, with square-section outswept legs to the rear. There are small adhesive labels present: a white circular sticker printed with the number 24 and an orange rectangular sticker printed with the number 150. No maker's name, brand, or signature is visible on the timber or the upholstery.
