Bidspirit auction | A Trio of Hand-Painted Bisque
A Trio of Hand-Painted Bisque Porcelain Bird-Form Bells - A collection of three hand-painted bisque porcelain bird figurines, each integrated into a bell-shaped base. The group includes a representation of a wren perched on a bramble branch with ripe and ripening blackberries and green leaves; a bird with a pinkish breast and grey-brown plumage resembling a linnet perched on yellow blossoms; and a nuthatch with a blue-grey back, orange underparts, and a black eye stripe perched on a branch of pine needles. Each bell is finished with a thin gilt band around the base. A small white rectangular adhesive sticker with the printed numeral 2 is applied to the back of the wren figurine. A small orange paper tag is resting on the head of the linnet figurine. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces of the porcelain.
