Bidspirit auction | A Set of Six Cut

A Set of Six Cut Glass Wine Goblets - A set of six cut glass stemware vessels, designed as wine or port goblets. Each glass features a flared bucket-shaped bowl supported by a short, waisted stem with a central rounded knop, resting on a plain circular foot. The decoration consists of a deep-cut geometric pattern, featuring a broad band of diamond-cut cross-hatching around the lower section of the bowl. This is surmounted by a series of vertical mitre cuts or flutes that terminate below the plain rim. The underside of the bowl, visible through the stem, displays a multi-pointed star-cut base. The glass is clear and heavy, indicative of high lead crystal content. There are no visible maker marks, acid-etched signatures, or labels on the bodies or bases of the items.
