Bidspirit auction | A Collection of Botanical Leaf

A Collection of Botanical Leaf Form and Transferware Ceramic Tableware - A collection of mixed glazed ceramic tableware. The primary group consists of white earthenware plates molded in the form of overlapping leaves with ruffled, scalloped edges and a high-gloss glaze. Included in the botanical stack are similar leaf-form plates with pale green tinted glazes and gilded rims. Also present is a large, deep cream-coloured glazed ceramic vessel, possibly a tureen or serving bowl, featuring a curved handle and rounded body. The lot further includes a stack of dinner plates with a minimalist painted orange and red leaf motif on the rim, and a separate stack of earthenware plates featuring a blue-grey patterned transferware design around the borders. A white adhesive sticker is visible on the uppermost white leaf plate, bearing the printed numerals 6 6. No maker's marks or factory backstamps are visible as the undersides of the items are obscured.
