German NSDAP Industrial League Standarte Skt. Ingbert
Original and ultra rare Third Reich era Industrial League standarte for the district of Sankt Ingbert, Germany. The south-west German town of St. Ingbert was known primarily for its coal & steel industries. Heavy multi-piece constructed and double sided, measuring 42X47 inches. Loops attached for hanging on a pole. Front side has stitched red thread showing the district and German town of Saint Ingbert and dated 1933. The other side shows a swastika in the corner and the center has a crown shield with machine stitched lettering "I.G.V." with the "I" resembling a sledge hammer. This standarte is made of different cloth pieces, with nice embroidery and handcrafted in silk for a luxurious result. Most probably the swastika patch was added to a pre III Reich standarte to "nazify" it. We don't know exactly, but the piece is awesome.Ultra rare, you won't find another.
