A poem in honor of the birthday of the 'Mishmeret HaBoker V'HaErev' society in Mantua. A vowelized poem with illustrations and a decorated border. Hand painted from the period.
The 'Mishmeret HaBoker V'HaErev' society was established in Amsterdam on Rosh Chodesh Nissan 1702. The poem was written on the thirteenth anniversary of the society's founding. Several similar societies were active in Mantua, and to the best of our knowledge this is the only surviving publication from the 'Mishmeret HaBoker V'HaErev' society.
