Tractate Kiddushin. Frankfurt, 1720. Magnificent Edition. Huge Margins
Tractate Kiddushin with Rash"i's commentary, Tosafot and more. Kelner Press. Frankfurt am Main, 1720. Magnificent copy. Especially wide margins.
Important proofread edition of the Talmud. Printed according to the glosses by Rabbi Yosef Shmuel of Krakow. Rabbi N. N. Rabinowitz wrote about the virtues of this edition, "This print is very valuable with its supplements and glosses, beyond all the prints that preceded it; it became a basis for all subsequent prints ..." (Dikdukei Sofrim p. 111).
Impressive copy with exceptionally wide margins - occasionally extending 13 cm from the text!! Volume height - over 45 cm! (For the sake of comparison - an average volume from this edition is 28-35 cm.) This is apparently one of the most beautiful copies ever printed of this specific edition, and of Talmudic editions in general.
97 leaf, lacking the title page. 45.5 cm.
Fine condition. The first two leaves are partially detached. Minimal stains. Not bound.
