2 Armbands of Forced Laborers in the Service of Nazi Forces during WWII
* Armband with org.todt (Organisation Todt) written on it, which was a government organization in Nazi Germany established in 1933. The organization planned, managed and built large and strategically important building projects. The organization is named for its founder, Fritz Todt, Inspector General for German Roadways and Reich Minister of Armaments and Ammunition in Nazi Germany. After the founder's death in 1942 when his plane crashed, Albert Schäfer as appointed to this position. The organization used forced labor, prisoners from concentration camps and prisoners of war from occupied countries. At the height of its operation, the organization was responsible for 1,300,000 people who worked in forced labor. Due to difficulties discovered during Operation Barbarossa in 1941, mobile units of the organization were established which accompanied the fighting forces.
