A CHINESE RARE FAMILLE ROSE BLUE-GROUND SGRAFFIATO MEDALLION BOWL, DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD
14.5 CM DIAM, 6.5 CM H.
The rounded sides finely enameled on the exterior with four roundels enclosing vignettes of different types of chrysanthemums combined with other flowers, separated by chrysanthemum sprays reserved on a lavender-blue sgraffiato ground, the interior painted in underglaze blue with a peony medallion below four further chrysanthemum plants in the well.
