First edition, first printing Published by Artisan, 1998
11.25 x 11.25 inches, profusely illustrated in color and b/w. Featuring hundreds of illustrations, including a portfolio of previously unpublished pieces selected by the artists himself.
William Steig (American, 1907-2003), the dean of the New Yorker Magazine cartoonists, best known for the picture book Shrek!, which inspired the film series, as well as Sylvester and the Magic Pebble, Abels Island, and Doctor De Soto.
