Western Europe, Merovingian, Ca. AD 500 - 700.A beautiful gold ring with a circular band and inset garnet cabochon gem in a concave, elliptical bezel. Excellent condition, wearable. At the time of the fall of the Roman Empire, other cultures began to evolve, grow and eventually prosper and their culture and art thrived.
