Ca. 300 - 200 BC.A Hellenistic terracotta dolphin made in a naturalistic manner. The dolphin is hand-crafted out of terracotta and would have been used as a decorative piece. In ancient Greek mythology dolphins were concidered to be messangers to gods, patriculary Aphrodite the goddess of love.
