EGYPTIAN TURQUOISE FAIENCE PECTORAL
Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1069 - 664 BC. A restrung necklace featuring an intricate openwork design of small, annular and slightly elongated faience beads arranged in a geometric pattern. The arrangement interlocks to form a lacy effect that broadens towards the lower section. At the centre, a single bead is suspended as a pendant. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.Size: 220/440mm x 8mm; Weight: 28/87gProvenance: Private UK collection, acquired on the US art market; Ex.
