RARE EGYPTIAN BLACK BASALT KOHL POT WITH LUGS
Pre Dynastic, Ca. 3100 - 2900 BC. A scarce basalt kohl pot with a rounded, slightly tapered body that narrows towards the flat base. The shoulders curve gently upward to meet a flat rim. Two small, protruding lug handles are positioned symmetrically on opposite sides of the upper body. The surface exhibits a smooth, polished finish, with subtle variations in tone and texture.
