EGYPTIAN STONE HEART SCARAB
New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A stone heart scarab with a rounded, domed back and a smooth, flat underside. The carapace is divided by a central ridge, extending down from the prothorax. The head is set forward, with pronounced clypeal lobes. The legs curve inward along the edges, with the forelegs reaching towards the head and the hind legs extending along the lower body. The underside is undecorated.
