Good condition
Long text about Venice at the end of a fight he led with others to save Venice from speculation "The devastating plans to make Venice a 'living city' will not be realised". We owe this to Rome's decision on the one hand, and to the "protest that their revelation provoked" on the other. Many writers, painters and architects reacted to preserve the unity of Venice, its originality and its splendour. He shared his ideas for improving the existing situation, for example by redesigning the interiors of certain palaces or introducing tax measures for foreigners. He criticised "the speculators, those anonymous shameless people in every country, [who] will build their cellular cities elsewhere than in Venice".
