Outstanding original ink, watercolor and gouache artwork on paperboard that American painter Charles Burdick divided in lunettes with Greco-Roman mythological episodes. Made with a brown-rust, indigo and dark brown palette, Burdick traced with loose lines heroes and queens, bulls, Pegasus and wild horses that he set by the sea, the heavens and Classical buildings in an energetic and expressive style. Ink signature on lower right: Burdick.
